![]() Sunday night following cleanup and bringing the weekend activities to a close was the fabulous fireworks display that filled the south end of New Martisville and thrilled young and old with a nearly 45 minute explosion of color and sound that would rival any July 4th event.Īll in all in was a successful weekend that brought good music, excitement and a fun time for all. There was also late night silent disco by KR-3 at the Marina Campground. The Motet has recorded nine full length albums with a combined sound of funk, soul, jazz and rock.Īt 11:15 Saturday night the Lincoln Theater came alive again as The Accoustic Company provided music for the late night crowd. performance of their unique style of dance music as could be witnessed by those displaying their moves on the lawn near the stage. ![]() The Motet closed down the stage area with a 9:30 to 11 p.m. Other bands performing throughout the day were Sicard Hollow, Buffalo Rose, Derek Woods Band, The Commonheart, and Circles Around The Sun. His show features rock, bluegrass and soul with a touch of Grateful Dead to please the audience. there was also a Hoop and Flow workshop with Eco Moon, Rikki, and Autumn.Īt 12:30 music started at the main stage with the Josh Daniel’s Grateful Band, a one man band with a talent that has drawn thousands of fans throughout the country to follow his performances and become known as his Jamily. Saturday was an eventful day for all ages as the main stage area was alive with rise and shine yoga presented by Sarah at 9:30 a.m. Following their performance the crowd made it’s way to the Lincoln Theater for the Greatful Dead Tribute as they capped off the night in grand fashion. Ekoostik Hookah put on a show most festival goers will not soon forget, as they rocked the crowd with their psychedelic rock and roll, blues, funk, and some jazz and bluegrass. Temperatures soared into the 90ás by Friday afternoon, but that didn’t deter the crowd as young and old converged on downtown to meet up with old friends, take in the sights and sounds, and show visitors why New Martinsville is known as the friendly city.įletchers Grove kicked off the event at the main stage with an hour long show followed by Dirty Grass Players taking the stage as a prelube to Yonder Mountain String Band, a Colorado based quintet whose pioneering jam-grass act had the crowd moving. And right up the street Barista’s Cafe and Pub had overflow crowds, waiting to try their different craft beer and espresso drink. One particular favorite along main street was Stalders Ice Cream, as lines stretched around the corner at times waiting for a taste of their favorite homemade flavor. Not only the stage area but the entire length of downtown was filled with party goers and visitors enjoying the shops and local vendors, who seemed to being doing a brisk business.
